Suffering By Design

Work should be a joy that we perform for ourselves and our colleagues. Cooperation and efficiency are the strengths that have allowed humanity to grow.

Trust and loyalty are values that help a group maintain cohesion and success. Our leaders were part of the group. The group dissolved with the success of humanity, and we became more distant to our leadership. This allowed advantage to be taken of our trust, and our daily efforts have become commodified and competitive. The values of humanity have been replaced with materialism, individuality and the profit motive.

Contemplation, ideas, and collective efforts are blunted with divisive policies, austerity, and missing or hidden resources. Compensation is at a level that requires stressful amounts of time to obtain. We are stressed and divided by design, to prevent an exchange of ideas and to protect the status quo from change. A sociopathic status quo respects jungle law and disregards the values of humanity. Hatred, the bane of humanity, produces thoughtlessness and likely lurks in the upper crust.

Debt and austerity are red herrings sold to us as economic necessities. Misinformation stokes fear, identifying other options of governance with loss of freedom, motivation, or well being.

Trust is not blind faith, and is best referenced with logic and reason. Unfortunately, sometimes we find trust is inappropriate.

But our values act in tandem. Anger is a value that increases with stress. It’s overdue for some exercise.

Being good does not mean being weak. Or quiet.

Thank you for reading.
