Our Hubris Toward Space Aliens
There are some possible reasons why we don’t see space aliens:
Interdimensional and worm holes don’t work.
Even at the speed of light, you’d have to be rather local, universally speaking.
They’ve already been here.
They’re here, we just don’t recognize them.
There’s are other reasons hidden by our hubris to figure on. Mostly in the most powerful, controlling nation on the planet that has a materialist culture of individualism, lots of punishment, little reform, and disdain for collective government. Unlike other countries, there is no national health care. The wealthy get the best treatment, while many go without. That is functionally uncivilized.
We aggressively sell weapons to other nations and ring the planet with military bases.
Little respect is given to the intellect and cooperation, though they are the strength of humanity and the power behind our dominance as a species. We’ve reduced ourselves into creatures who are literate, operate Darwin economics and lead the world back to jungle law.
The thoughtlessness of materialism leaves a lot of room for our hatred, dividing the masses, besmirching diversity and entrenching the private interests atop our warped status structure.
This has got to look ugly to space aliens. Imagine their horror if they’re empathic. Perhaps we’re a psychic nightmare and a danger telepathically.
Our spacecraft invitations notwithstanding, you know that our fear and military insecurity would try to shoot them down.
We’re just not safe.
