Media Myopia

Why are we absolved of responsibility by the media? NATO is a counterproductive conduit for weapon sales. Russia wanted it limited. We refused. But that’s okay, because we’re the good guys.

We’re helping Saudi Arabia impose a modern day humanitarian disaster in Yemen. There must be a good reason, because we’re the good guys. That’s probably what the media would find, if they ever did some reporting on it. They must be waiting for the authorities to leak the truth.

We’re in Syria. We’re defending the oil, like the good guys we are.

We’re still in Iraq, doing our part as the uninvited invader.

We’ve blessed the China Sea with our navy.

As we police the globe, are we the good cop or bad cop?

Media myopia helped create the terrible crises in Ukraine that it is sells to us hapless fools.

The total focus on Russian aggression is not insight. It is global blinders.
