It’s creepy when Blinken and Biden wax morality when discussing the “unprovoked” Russian invasion of Ukraine. Everything they say is taken as gospel. There are no serious questions or references to peace. Journalism is suffocating under propaganda. We are not the champions of democracy we brag about.
The fact that our president and secretary of state promoted our catastrophic invasion of Iraq has not only been forgotten, but they have been considered a reference about a subject that they were wrong about at the cost of about a million lives, including thousands of U.S. soldiers who died in a country half the world away.
Our “media” should be considered nothing but advertisement for our weapons industry. If you believe our government operates in a socially reasonable fashion, and that the news gives us ballpark objective stories of what is really going on, then the status quo would like to sell you the end of the world. Don’t buy it. For a little effort, you can find old fashioned journalism ironically on line.
