Incomparable Treasure of Human Values

Life is not a physical superficiality, especially for humans. Though we ultimately distribute it mostly as a physical collective, our power comes from the meta-physical ideas that we contemplate and share. Our long developed values work, or play with our imaginations in an infinity of possibilities that we can sometimes realize. We’ve realized enough to overrun the planet.

In order to justify the presumption of some humans superiority over others, our values warped into subjective cultural sets of moralities, sometimes excluding the beneficial and/or including the bizarre.

We no longer prioritize the values that are at the heart of humanity. We’ve fallen into the mono-value of materialism and its dearth of thought. The thoughtlessness of fear and hatred replace contemplation and allow the unsustainable and superficiality of materialism to be the simple default. Easily inflamed by thought and challenged by ideas, fear and hatred blindly react to preserve the shallow thoughtlessness of materialism, its lack of depth and warped status of greed over generosity.

The need to recognize, teach and codify the vital practicality of our basic human values exceeds whatever religious and political practices that are fallibly employed today.

Our children should be taught the need and practicality of empathy, trust, humility, tenacity, insight, appreciation and attitude that we abandoned for the materialistic priority of stuff over life. Then maybe they could have a chance of undoing the damage we have done.
